Where to Live for Expats

Shanghai is cut into two major parts – Pudong (the east part) and Puxi (the west part) – by Huangpu River. Downtown area, which consists of four districts (Huangpu, Xuhui, Jing'an, and Changning). Renting Shanghai offer a large selection of properties for rent.

JingAn district »

  • Nanjing Road area: West Nanjing Road is one of Shanghai's premier shopping districts. If you're considering living downtown, then the sought-after Nanjing Road area will be one of your primary options.
  • Jing'an Temple area: This area is favored for its famous restaurants and pubs, and its convenient access to the metro lines.

Changning district »

  • Gubei area: Gubei is a expat residential area within Hongqiao. Gubei area is one of the city's largest expat communities.
